About Tisha
Whilst always maintaining a professional and respectful attitude, I do ensure that no lesson is boring for the student. At school, students may not always be able to build an understanding and deep relation with their teachers, however I aim to make every effort to ensure that the student's needs are heard and addressed. I am a very friendly and approachable individual and will ensure that the students feel comfortable around me and are able to ask, and share with me, anything they need. Being patient is a key skill in a role such as this, and I have accumulated this through my previous experience with tutoring. I am also someone who keeps calm in any situation and am willing to overcome any challenges thrown at me with my utmost potential. Being easygoing and confident wraps up my personality and makes it easy for me to converse with students and relate to them.

I understand that each person is different and we all have unique methods of learning and obtaining information. My aim would be to conduct the lessons and tailor my teaching style to best suit the student, whether they be visual learners, auditory learners or even simply reading and writing learners. The typical length of a lesson would be 1 hour and would start each lesson off with a small exercise to revisit what was taught the prior week. I do not spend time in the lesson marking homework exercises, instead just give feedback and answer and questions regarding it. I ensure that my lessons do not largely consist of me talking and teaching, but also interacting actively with student to keep their concentration and interest sparked in what they are being taught.
Currently, I am Year 13 student studying Maths, Economics and History. The subject that I teach is Maths and I am predicted an A* for it at A Level and at GCSE I achieved a Grade 9.
I have previous experience with tutoring, in particular for the 11+ exams. I have also taught students that are younger than that, as well as students in Years 7-9.
