About Harvey
I was once a tutored student and I know from my own experience that it's not accepting that you're not as good as you'd like, but that you want to sharpen the skillset that you already have. I've done many essays and sat lots of exams, but I can honestly say with the help of a tutor you can start to add the detail that might not normally be there; you get to observe your own success. Not only do I want to see my efforts help people at any level, but I also have a passion to become a University lecturer in the future. I have spoken to several professors about the professionalism needed to do such a task, to not only prepare myself for the future but to also make sure I can help my students to the best of my ability. If ever you're concerned that your learning isn't improving at a rate that you'd like, I can change the rhythm of the lesson at your earliest convenience. I just truly want to help people thrive in the subjects I love most.

- My lessons are always tailored to the student's preference of learning, so they know that they can make the most success in the lesson. - I am prepared for each individual lesson with the materials specific to the student's needs, whether it be topic sources or a focus on exam technique. - The typical length of a lesson with me is 1 hour (but can be extended to 1 hour 30 minutes if requested). This is to create a structured lesson plan for my students, but I also know (being a student myself) that a well-deserved rest is needed. - Lessons are taught for students ranging from Primary School to GCSE (Year 11) level. - I achieved grade A* in GCSE History, so I know my way around the course. - I achieved grade A* in my Extended Project Qualification (A/S Level) based on the American Civil War. - I am in Year 13 (Upper 6th) studying History, Religious Studies, and Sociology A Levels and I am predicted grades A*AA. - I am academically on track to applying for History at the University of Oxford. - I am a History Ambassador at my Sixth Form, so I truly have a passion for helping others learn one of the subjects I love most. - I also have experience teaching family and friends History and Religious Studies (both in primary school and at GCSE level).
