About Maya

I have been tutoring for 3 years now, and have been in a highly academic environment since year 7, providing me with ample insight into how to succeed academically. As I am still in the school system, in year 13, I have a good understanding of the challenges and pace of GCSEs, having done them recently, and so I am well equipped to help you advance in a subject and improve your confidence.

About the lesson

Typically every lesson homework will be set.
Each lesson will start with a recap of the theory of the topic, where we will go over key concepts to make sure there is an understanding of the subject matter.
Then we will focus on practice questions, and applying the key concepts. Often I will let the students try the questions first before we go over them. Each lesson is normally an hour but can vary between 1 and 2 hours depending on the needs of the student.
I have been tutoring for 3 years in 11+, KS3 and GCSE across a variety of subjects including science, English, maths and more. I am especially good at persistently explaining a concept until it is fully understood and will tailor the lesson best to the student as each individual learns best differently.
