I have been a teacher for over 20 years with experience with many different ages. I began my career in childcare before becoming a Pre-K teacher. I have also taught in the public school system in grades Kindergarten through third grade.

As a seasoned educator with two decades of classroom experience, I believe that effective tutoring begins with building trust and confidence. Every child learns differently, and my role is to uncover how they learn best—then tailor instruction to meet them where they are and help them grow. For reading, I focus on foundational literacy, use explicit, systematic phonics instruction, I emphasize reading for understanding, and incorporate repeated reading and guided practice to build fluency and confidence. For math, I use real-world applications to make math meaningful and relevant, helping students see themselves as capable problem-solvers.
