About Everly

I am a guitar tutor with 12 years of experience and a degree in music performance. My teaching approach centers on musical expression, critical listening, and nurturing each student’s unique creativity. I believe that becoming a well-rounded musician involves mastering chord theory, technique, improvisation, and ear training. I have worked with students ranging from early intermediate to advanced intermediate levels, as well as those at the professional and expert stages. My lessons are designed to challenge you while keeping the process enjoyable and rewarding. I focus on helping you develop a deep connection with the music you play, encouraging both skill and artistry. Whether you want to refine your technique or explore new creative paths, I tailor lessons to your individual goals. Together, we’ll build your confidence and musicianship step by step. About the lesson

My teaching approach for guitar focuses on building strong technical skills while encouraging creativity and personal expression. I work with students to develop solid finger technique, strumming patterns, and chord knowledge. At the same time, I help them explore different music styles—from acoustic and folk to blues and rock—so they can find their own sound.

I believe flexibility in genre is key to becoming a confident player. Whether you want to play around a campfire or dive into soulful blues solos, I provide the tools and guidance to help you excel. We use a mix of exercises, songs, and improvisation to keep lessons interesting and relevant.

Creativity is important, so I encourage writing your own music and experimenting with different rhythms and tones. This helps you express yourself fully through the guitar. I also focus on listening skills and musical awareness to make your playing more natural and enjoyable.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to match your pace and goals. My aim is to build both skill and confidence in a supportive, fun environment. Whether you’re just starting or want to deepen your blues or acoustic playing, I’m here to help you grow as a guitarist.
