About Amy
I am a 23 year veteran elementary teacher. I am very calm, patient and kind. I have spent my entire professional career educating and caring for elementary aged students, especially students grades 3-6. I have an extensive background in trauma based education and am able to handle behavior needs that may arise with a student's educational needs. I am able to compassionately meet a student where they are at and teach effectively at the level they are currently working at, helping them rise to grade level expectations and work requirements.

I am a 23 year veteran elementary teacher. I teach using methods that help students to understand the concepts behind the standard so they are not just "memorizing" a technique, but instead are learning "why" the technique works. I am highly adept at guiding students into their own discoveries using focused questioning techniques. This helps students to retain the information that they have learned.
