About Lane
I am a recent postgraduate student who has been playing piano since the age of 5. I gave lessons for several years while in university, although took a couple of years away to pursue other employment and interests. I usually teach one-on-one, as I believe this is the most effective way to learn the piano!

Depending on familiarity with music and reading music, we may begin at different places. It's essential to playing the piano that the student is able to read music. This means we will probably start with learning the notes, how to recognize treble and bass clef, and basic rhythms. Then we'll start playing around on the keyboard!
