About Shelton
Holding an MA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Chicago is less important than how you speak on a Tuesday morning. After 13 years of teaching, I have guided 309 students through AP Spanish and DELE exams. Verb conjugation and writing skills matter.
My focus remains on functional communication for travel, business, or interviews. I prioritize practical dialogue practice over rote memorization. Soon you will navigate conversations with total confidence.

Starting with a diagnostic level test ensures that we build a plan that fits your current proficiency. During 8 minutes of introductory assessment, I identify specific gaps in your comprehension and speech.
My 13 years of immersion-based teaching inform how I structure our time together. I treat every student as a unique speaker rather than a test score.
My MA degree informs the academic rigor I apply to our interaction. You should expect a calm space where mistakes provide the best paths for growth.
We spend time on role play to simulate real world scenarios. I keep the atmosphere light and steady throughout our time. This gentle pacing helps you internalize complex structures naturally.
