About Son
The smell of old wood and the hum of an electric guitar amp have been the backdrop of my life for over 2 decades. After spending 13 years teaching, I have developed a deep appreciation for the technical nuances of songwriting, scales and modes, and tuning and maintenance.
My Diploma in Music Performance from NTU provides the structure for our work on lead guitar and electric technique. Working with 425 students has taught me how to adjust my approach for every individual. I am a laid-back coach who values practical progress and genuine enjoyment in music. Watching a student finally nail a difficult chord transition is the highlight of my week. Custom backing tracks allow you to practise soloing at home with the same focus we establish in the room. I prioritise clear, actionable goals during every single meeting. Building your repertoire requires both repetition and a sharp understanding of the fretboard.
We will work through 7.0 distinct levels of technique to ensure you play the music you love. Everything I teach is grounded in my 13 years of experience. We move at a pace that keeps your motivation high. You will get there.
