About Ray
I understand your frustrations. I'm a practicing animator and digital artist chasing my dream and I want to help you too. My goal is to help aspiring 2D/3D Animation creators, video directors, and fashion designers reach their goals. I currently have an animation series on YouTube along with a blog and podcast, so every day I'm constantly learning to master my craft. I’ve been an Adobe Creative Suite specialist for private schools such as Menlo Atherton. I am currently a grad student at USC (University of Southern California). I have also taught at Castilleja all-girls school, which is one of the top private schools in the world while I was part of their technical support team. I received my AA in digital art from Gavilan College and my BA in digital arts and film at the University of California Santa Cruz. I love the creative arts and it’s fun to teach and inspire anyone interested in learning. I can start you off by teaching you the fundamentals such as the 12 principles of arc in animation (super important) or if you just need to learn how to do something specific like the mysterious “walking cycle” we can do that too. I can help and teach you with: Adobe Photoshop Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Animate At any level you're in, we can design a lesson plan that will address your needs. Also, I’m very transparent which means no BS, just so, I can get you to book my classes. If I can’t do what you need, I will tell you upfront. I’m not the all-knowing animator (not yet anyway) so I do have limitations. Also if you want to learn how to edit a video I’ve been doing that since the ’90s with an old external editing machine so those of you who are interested in learning how to edit a video. I can help you with that too using Adobe Premiere Pro. I’m a visual guy so for every lesson we do I do a step-by-step how-to document so you can follow along easily. I also do the lesson first explaining the tools and their functions. I then have you do it and help you with any issues you may have. My goal is to bring you to the level you want to be.
