About Charmane
Growing up at festivals across the American South shaped how I hear music. Does the complexity of classical technique ever feel disconnected from the soul of the instrument? I spent 13 years playing old-time music before completing my formal degree at Berklee. My 13 years of experience teaching covers everything from intonation and double stops to complex bowing.

Stiff posture often kills the flow of a beautiful piece. I fix tension issues through deliberate focus on rhythm and timing. Custom scale and etude sheets for each student help bridge those gaps.
We break down orchestral excerpts or difficult double stops into manageable parts. Progress requires patience. Sometimes we just play to get the feel right. I love hearing the moment a student finds their own voice.
