About Katy
Do you ever struggle to find arrangements that actually sound like the songs you enjoy? I have spent years on stage and in the studio, eventually earning my BMus Piano Performance degree from the Eastman School of Music.
My work now centers on teaching guitar skills like lead technique, acoustic nuances, and blues progressions to people just like you. Electric technique and mastering difficult barre chords are central parts of my instruction. I find that keeping sessions musical and grounded makes the learning process much smoother. Metallic strings vibrate as we convert your favorite song requests into simplified arrangements that you can play immediately. This first encounter highlights your current level and helps us map out a clear path for your development. My BMus background informs how I break down music theory into manageable, bite-sized pieces for guitarists. We tackle lead playing and rhythm with careful attention to detail.
