"Wood grain pressed against my chest became a familiar feeling as I first picked up the instrument decades ago. My formal education at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music provided the technical vocabulary I now use to guide 244 students.
I work primarily with intermediate learners and kids who require a structured approach to music. My 13 years of experience have proven that patience is the primary requirement for mastering acoustic and electric technique. I prioritize clear communication to ensure that teens and performance-focused students succeed. Watching a student gain confidence after months of persistence provides me with immense satisfaction."

"I analyze your current chord transitions and reading tabs to establish a specific starting point for your growth. My Bachelor of Music in Music Performance allows me to explain complex scales and modes in simple terms that you can apply immediately. We spend time on improvisation and soloing to ensure you understand how to express your own ideas on the fretboard. I incorporate ear training and tuning and maintenance into every session so that you remain self-sufficient.
My 13 years of experience with students mean I can identify your specific physical habits before they become permanent errors. I observe your right-hand technique to ensure your rhythm remains consistent during fast passages. This methodical process provides a solid framework for your future grade exam prep requirements. You will learn to navigate the instrument through a combination of deliberate practice and theory application.
