About Joseph
Grammar rules often feel like dry, abstract concepts that stay trapped on a page. Sometimes I admit that I find traditional textbooks a bit dull without a musical element to provide rhythm.
We focus on conversational fluency and listening comprehension during our time together. My method includes free access to my vocabulary notes for all participants. These materials help bridge the gap between classroom exercises and real-world email or letter writing. I try to keep the atmosphere relaxed so you feel comfortable making errors while we refine your speech.

Teaching exists because language connects isolated people to new communities. You deserve a method that acknowledges how daunting starting from scratch feels.
I combine 10 years of experience with an MA in Music Education and TESOL certification to serve adult learners, working professionals, and absolute beginners. My approach blends voice and guitar with traditional language building to aid newcomer families in Toronto and Vancouver. I cover conversational fluency, vocabulary building, listening comprehension, TOEFL, IELTS, idioms, grammar, and formal writing. Communication is fundamental.
