About Douglas
Performing in San Francisco venues often reminds me that I still get a little nervous before hitting the stage. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Industry from Belmont University and use that knowledge to keep my teaching grounded. Kids and returning learners often come to me when they want to build real comfort with their own voices. I focus on helping you understand the mechanics of head and chest voice so you can sing without strain.
My background allows me to break down complex concepts into simple steps. You can expect a patient and hands-on environment where we prioritize your personal growth.

Singing requires a blend of physical control and emotional expression that we cultivate through consistent practice. Good technique serves the song. My philosophy relies on the idea that training your voice is a physical discipline that benefits from clear guidance and repetition.
Because I studied at Belmont University, I bring a structured perspective to breathing control and microphone technique. We will tackle stage fear management together until you feel fully prepared for the spotlight. Every session concludes with specific homework vocal drills to maintain your progress between our meetings.
I am dedicated to keeping your instrument healthy and strong through every stage of your development. You will sound better every single time we meet.
