About Charline
"Do you find yourself struggling to connect the dots between basic principles and high-level exam content? I am an MD candidate at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons who draws on 6 years of experience to demystify complex topics. My focus areas include mechanism drawing, aromatic chemistry, isomerism, and stereochemistry.
I also specialize in SN1 and SN2 reactions, alcohols and ethers, radical reactions, elimination reactions, and retrosynthesis. Having spent years as a Princeton Review MCAT instructor, I understand the precise topics the AAMC emphasizes. You will find my teaching style clear, patient, and set to high standards to help you grasp these challenging concepts. I aim to ensure you feel prepared to handle any question format that appears on your test day."

"Starting mid-thought, we often find that the best way to conquer chemistry is by focusing on the logic behind the arrows. Through my 6 years of experience, I have found that past-paper mechanism walkthroughs serve as the most effective tool for long-term retention.
We will break down every step of the reaction process until the underlying patterns become intuitive for you. My history as a Kaplan instructor allows me to pinpoint exactly where students typically lose points during the exam process. We will rigorously test your knowledge of alcohols, ethers, and elimination reactions to solidify your understanding. Each session is structured to build your fluency in retrosynthesis and complex mechanism drawing techniques.
By analyzing how different functional groups interact, you will gain the confidence to approach any synthesis problem independently. I maintain a pace that balances thorough explanations with frequent practice to keep your momentum high. My methods ensure that you are fully equipped to perform at the highest level."
