About Lelia
Adult travelers preparing for trips often feel overwhelmed by the subtle nuances of French phonetics. Listening to the melodic cadence of a native speaker in a cafe brings the language to life in a way textbooks cannot replicate. My 9 years of teaching experience allow me to simplify complex liaison and nasal sounds for those just starting out.
I hold a Master of Arts in French from Middlebury Language Schools to ensure high accuracy. Watching students gain confidence in their conversational fluency while exploring cultural context is truly the most enjoyable part of this career.

Successful communication happens when you stop translating in your head and start speaking naturally. Honestly, I find that even the most prepared students struggle until they bridge the gap between classroom theory and real life.
We focus heavily on exam preparation for DELF or DALF alongside everyday phrases for beginners. My methodology emphasizes accent and intonation to help you navigate business French or casual chats with ease.
These sessions draw on my background at Middlebury to provide structure. I aim to keep our rhythm steady as we work through specific linguistic hurdles together.
Each meeting is built on 9 years of refinement. You will find that my approach remains calm and patient throughout our time together. We practice pronunciation until the sounds feel comfortable on your tongue. I plan to keep the environment supportive so you can experiment with the language without any hesitation.
