About Gaye
Beginners and intermediate players often come to me feeling stuck in their technical practice. It happens to everyone at some point, so I step in to balance that structure with pure enjoyment. My 4 years of experience focuses on jazz improvisation and scales plus arpeggios to build real control.
I ensure dynamics and expression remain at the core, just as I learned at The Juilliard School. When we add sight reading and pop or contemporary styles, you really start to see the progress. Pedaling technique is the final piece of the puzzle that often gets missed...

Keys clicking under fingers sounds like a precise mechanical clock. This is the foundation I build after 4 years of experience and my Juilliard training.
We start with a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan. Scales provide the discipline needed for high level playing.
Dynamics allow for the emotional color that separates a standard player from a great one. Expression follows once the technique feels automatic.
I expect solid preparation for every session. Pop arrangements keep the motivation high. We move through concepts efficiently.
