About Mckenzie
Formal piano study began early for me. I pursued music at the Yale School of Music. This path led to an MMus degree.
My 13 years of experience define my current teaching style. I focus on classical repertoire and precise pedaling technique. Dynamics and expression remain central to my philosophy.
Ear training is essential for every student. Scales and arpeggios ground your fingers. I want to help you reach your goals.

Clarity is the secret to a productive practice session. You receive a recorded playback of every single meeting for review at home.
This allows you to audit your own dynamics and expression. We tackle technical hurdles through systematic drills. I incorporate my MMus training to refine your classical repertoire. Pedalling technique is examined with great care.
