About Ivy
Singing often feels like an impossible puzzle when you first start. I hold an MMus Music Performance from Berklee College of Music and have spent 5 years guiding people through the basics. My studio focuses on logic, anatomy, and structure to ensure you understand exactly how your body creates sound. I work primarily with absolute beginners and adults who have never had formal training before.
My approach is built on concepts rather than abstract ideas, helping you map out your range, pitch, and vibrato with precision. I have helped many students move from being nervous in private to performing with confidence. I admit that vocal technique can be dry until you see how it applies to a song. My 5 years of experience means I avoid gimmicks and stick to proven methods for extension and articulation. You will receive homework vocal drills assigned after every session to solidify what we cover in our time together.
We prioritize the mechanics of belting and sight singing in a calm, direct environment. This structure serves adults and self-taught players who crave clear, measurable progress in their practice.
