About Holly
I am a piano tutor with 8 years of experience and I have taught around 270 students across beginner to advanced levels. My approach focuses on building a strong technical base while encouraging creativity and musical expression. I have helped many students prepare for exams, performances, and personal skill development. My lessons are designed to be structured yet enjoyable so students stay engaged. My piano teaching system is carefully structured to help students build both technical mastery and musical understanding over time. I begin by evaluating coordination, rhythm awareness, and note reading ability to determine the student’s starting point. Initial sessions focus on strengthening finger independence and hand coordination through targeted exercises. I introduce scale routines and repetition techniques that help build accuracy and muscle memory. Music theory is integrated gradually so that students understand the logic behind compositions rather than memorizing blindly. Students are given pieces appropriate to their level, ensuring consistent progress without frustration. I emphasize rhythm accuracy and timing using structured drills and guided practice. Feedback is precise and helps students correct mistakes efficiently. I also introduce sight reading and ear training exercises to expand overall musical ability. Performance preparation is included for students interested in exams or stage playing. My sessions are interactive and require active participation. I adjust teaching speed based on individual progress. Over time, students become confident, technically strong, and expressive pianists.
