About Kathleen
Picture sitting in a cafe while we practice role play and dialogue. It feels like a real conversation. We will focus on listening practice and travel French to get you comfortable. My 12 years of experience gigging around the city influence how I teach these sessions.
I keep things playful so you can learn without feeling pressured. You will pick up the accent and intonation through direct interaction. I try to make sure every session leaves you feeling a bit more capable.

Growing up in Nice gave me a natural connection to the language that I share here in Montreal. I spent 8 years performing chanson française and Québécois folk music across the local circuit.
This background helps me explain the nuance of culture and pronunciation to beginners and professionals alike. I teach by integrating verb conjugation with vocabulary building and dialogue practice.
You will find that reading comprehension becomes much easier when you understand the rhythm of the language. I work with absolute beginners and intermediate learners who want to speak naturally.
My approach focuses on everyday phrases that matter in real life. I provide free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes for all my students. Helping people bridge the gap between textbook French and the real world remains the best part of my job. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time to find your footing.
