About Ivory
Teaching guitar is rarely about just memorizing scales. Most players struggle because they forget to listen to the rhythm.
I combine my BM Music Performance degree with a laid-back approach to help teens, working professionals, and performers. You might struggle with barre chords or reading tabs, but we fix that quickly. My experience includes 13 years of performing fiddle and guitar music.
I know what it takes to get comfortable on a fretboard. I am ready to help you play.

Imagine your fingers hitting the right notes without looking down at the strings. I start by offering a free trial session to assess your starting level on acoustic or electric guitar. We will spend time on strumming patterns and soloing until the movement feels natural. It is like speaking a new language.
You will learn to hold your own in a group setting. My background from Belmont University ensures that your technique remains clean. It is time to get you ready for the Sunday jam. You will be playing lead before you know it.
