About Charlo
"Violin instruction for me is less about rigid rules and more about the intuitive connection between player and instrument. I find that the most disciplined students are often the ones who need to learn how to forget the music stand and simply listen to the melody.
My teaching is deeply rooted in the oral tradition I studied at the Old Town School of Folk Music. Tunes are learned by listening and ornamentation by imitation. I translate this folk sensibility into technical precision for intermediate learners and performance-focused students. I bring 8 years of experience to help you balance your ABRSM exam requirements with authentic musicality.
My background covers everything from double stops to tone production. You will develop a sound that feels both technically secure and deeply personal. I look forward to seeing your technique evolve toward your performance goals."
