About Halima

I'm from London and currently work at a law firm specialising in Land law, immigration, contracts and housing for 4 years. I’ve been tutoring for over seven years now in Undergraduate Core modules and certain elective modules. I will be happy to talk more about myself in our first lesson.

About the lesson

I always aim to make my sessions as memorable as possible and use various teaching approaches to suit the individual person.

TEACHING STYLE
I have a passion for Law from family history and I aim to pass that enthusiasm to my students too within my lessons. My approach to tutoring is to consider every student as an individual and to make learning fun. I break down confusing concepts into a manner that is understandable and help write up lecture/tutor notes whilst we go through our lesson. I appreciate that different students struggle in different areas; therefore, I intend to help students by: - Teaching through old/new material, recapping at the beginning of our lesson, and recapping specifically in areas students are struggling with - Discussing the wider applications of the material to problem/essay quesion to help with memory retention and exams - Provide exam-specific advice, such as commonly asked questions, or definitions that might come up - Exam practice with past papers and - And Regular feedback on how students are doing. I’m proud to say that I have many students returning and referring me and majority of my students do graduate with an amazing grade.

I tutor the following subjects: Human rights, Medical law and ethics, Criminal evidence, Commercial Law, Jurisprudence, Intellectual property, Family law and relationship, Criminal law, Public law, Both Obligation subjects - contract and tort law , Both Property subjects - equity and trust and land law, and EU law! There are certain other electives that I do provide tutoring on so please do message me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
