About Shirley
"I have 10 years of experience teaching violin and helping students grow through the joy of group music making.
I hold a Bachelor of Music Education in Strings Violin and enjoy creating supportive spaces for young musicians.
My teaching focuses on ensemble classes, orchestral sectionals, and chamber music coaching.
I help students develop strong listening skills, teamwork, and confidence while playing with others.
My lessons include group dynamics, tuning within an ensemble, and learning how each musician contributes to the overall sound.
I also guide advanced students in developing leadership skills and preparing for roles such as concertmasters.
I have worked with youth orchestras and school ensembles, helping students prepare for concerts and special performances.
I enjoy seeing musicians grow from individual players into confident team members who support each other.
