I sometimes struggle to explain how much I rely on the physical sensation of resonance when I am teaching vocal health. My focus is on belting technique, diction, and breathing control, which are all essential for anyone from self-taught players seeking structure to advanced learners preparing for major exams. I hold a BM Popular Music degree and have spent 11 years teaching the art of performance.
My students range from French learners who want to sing chanson to serious guitar students learning Québécois folk styles. Having worked with 100 students, I have learned that stage fear management is just as important as vocal warm up exercises. I like to keep things chill, knowing that everyone is at a different place in their journey. It is a bit of a process, but we will get there together.
