About Laura
Adults often sit down for the first time and worry they cannot hold a tune. I remember my own early nights playing in Austin bars where the stage felt far too large. I have taught 296 students how to move past that initial fear.
Being self-taught means I focus on what actually works for your anatomy. My background involves 9 years of gigging in Nashville. I hold a degree level of knowledge gained through those long nights on stage.
It is a joy to see a shy student find their sound. These years of experience have taught me that confidence is just as important as pitch.

Since it is really about the song, we start by mapping out your vocal range. Absolute beginners and intermediate learners often need to focus on warm up exercises and pitch control first.
Exam preparation and sight singing are also available if you are aiming for specific goals. I bring 9 years of experience to help you with stage fear management and performance confidence. Rhythm and phrasing are vital for teens and advanced learners alike. We will explore tone and resonance to build your unique sound.
Belting technique is a favorite topic for many of my students. I provide recorded warm-up routines shared for daily home practice to keep you consistent. How does your voice feel when you are singing your favorite tracks?
