About Douglas
Beginners and intermediate guitarists find their rhythm in my studio after struggling to play songs alone. I recall one student finally strumming through a full track after 13 years of accumulated experience.
I have guided countless hobbyists through the basics of chord transitions and scale mastery. My Bachelor of Fine Arts from Belmont University grounds every lesson in real world application. I focus on reading tabs or sheet music to build a strong foundation for your playing.

Instruction moves at a pace that highlights your natural progression rather than forcing a strict curriculum on you. You can bring any song request to me, and I will handle the work of creating a simplified arrangement that fits your current ability.
We will navigate lead guitar lines and tricky strumming patterns until everything clicks into place. This method ensures you are playing music you actually enjoy from the very first minute.
