About Dan

I used to be a Police Officer! I bet not many start with that - but I was also a freelance web developer which meant I was lucky enough to make the move from public sector to private sector at a time that suited my life (I had children!). It was literally the best decision of my life was to move fully into the web development space and now I'm here to help others on that same journey.

That's why it is so important to have a tangible skill that is both commercially viable and flexible enough to afford you the quality of life you deserve.

Learn to be a web developer with me, a time-served Technology Manager with 15+ years experience working with some of the biggest names in e-commerce, and an extensive experience teaching, mentoring & tutoring developers of all levels - so that you too can make empowering and positive life choices like I did.

About the lesson

Currently employed as a Technology Manager at a leading global agency, I am equipped to guide you through junior to senior/principal frontend development skill levels. I have extensive commercial experience with: Javascript, CSS, HTML, SCSS, Vue, React, Typescript, Git, Liquid and node.js and have worked professionally in the Shopify, Wordpress and greenfield spaces with clients of all sizes.

Anyone can learn to be a developer, but I teach you how to avoid common pitfalls, to learn more efficiently, focus on the areas that matter most commercially and to perfect the aspects of being a professional web developer that you can't typically learn from being self-taught.

My lessons are typically 45 to 60 mins long, tailored to you individually and designed to move you through an individualised career development plan using your chosen tech stack. My career to date includes experience teaching, coaching, mentoring and managing developers of varying skill levels in both professional and education settings. I am UK based, fluent English and available to work around your busy lives offering evening and weekend available (depending on demand).
