About Kyla
I love the "aha" moment when math makes sense. I help students understand the "problem" and go with them through the journey required to find the solution. Everyone can understand math. There are several different ways to approach the same problem and I love helping students find the way that works best for them. I have helped students increase their ACT score by 5-10 points!

I prefer visual and hands-on teaching. I have experience with a wide variety of learners (struggling - accelerated) in middle and high school. I have taught remedial, regular, and advanced classes containing students with physical, emotional, and learning disabilities. My typical lesson plans include learning games focused on repetition to build foundation skills plus deep explanations of skills and formulas often including a variety of models and methods to help varying learners connect with what makes sense for them.
