About Fintan
Again, having been through the British system of teaching a language, I know the advantages and disadvantages of what curriculums focus on. While I enjoyed learning French in school, as a tutor I hope to capitalise upon the gaps left by the typical style of teaching in the UK. Personally, I believe the value of proficiency in another language cannot be stressed enough, and so I am happy to help any students who feel the same way and need some help.

I try to cater my teaching methods towards the learning style of the student, as well as their interests and specific areas in which they are keen to improve. Having gone through the British educational system of learning French, I have experience finding materials of an appropriate level relative to GCSE and A-Level. I am also therefore familiar with the specific requirements of various exam boards, and what examiners tend to look for. I find 50 minutes (roughly) is optimal for a session, as it allows time to re-familiarise, focus on a skill and review, though am open to varying lengths as per requests.
