My name is Tahvon, and I am a 9th grade student who was pushed up a grade because of my hard work and learning ability. I take my classes seriously, and I enjoy helping others understand things in a simple and patient way. As a tutor, my approach is to make learning comfortable, clear, and encouraging so students do not feel nervous or left behind.
My teaching method is to first understand what the student already knows, then explain the topic step by step in a way that matches their level. I like to break lessons down into smaller parts so they are easier to understand. I also give examples, ask questions, and review important points to make sure the student is really learning and not just memorizing.
A typical lesson with me would include a quick review of past material, help with new topics, guided practice, and time for questions. I try to be supportive, respectful, and positive during every lesson. What sets me apart is that I understand what it feels like to be a student who is still learning and growing, so I can relate to students and explain things in a way that feels natural.
My lessons are best for younger students or students who want extra help with understanding classwork, building confidence, and improving step by step.
