About Beverly
Holding a Diploma in Piano Accompaniment from the New England Conservatory means understanding how music functions from the inside out. True keyboard mastery often comes from knowing when to leave space rather than filling every beat.
Teaching 370 students has clarified how I approach sight playing and sight transposition for all levels. Students learn to manipulate chord voicing and pedaling technique to create a rich soundscape. My goal is to guide you toward a logical, structured way of interacting with the instrument.

Watching a student finally balance the melody against the accompaniment provides the most satisfying moments in the studio. You sit at the bench while we analyze the harmonic structure of contemporary pieces to see exactly how the chords support the main theme. My methodology relies on the rigorous traditions of the New England Conservatory while applying them to modern styles that interest you. Because I have taught 370 individuals, I can anticipate the common roadblocks that occur when learning to read music or mastering complex pedalling techniques.
