About Tracee
Technique is often treated as a chore, yet I find it serves as the primary gateway to true musical expression. My approach is rooted in a DMA from the Eastman School of Music, encompassing everything from scales and arpeggios to nuanced pedaling technique. Students often come to me for grade exam prep such as ABRSM or Trinity, alongside work on chord voicing and rhythm.
I prioritize posture and hand position, ensuring that sight playing and sight reading feel natural rather than forced. I listen far more than I speak, preferring to ask questions that guide you toward your own discoveries before I offer any answers. Theory remains inseparable from performance in my studio, as we integrate these concepts from Grade 3 onward. I look forward to working with you.

Since the 8.0 ranking defines my method, we start by evaluating your current movement through a diagnostic playing assessment. This determines our exact trajectory.
My lessons integrate the rigorous theory I studied at the Eastman School of Music directly into the pieces we play. We focus on the physical mechanics of playing while minimizing abstract theory talk.
We prioritize getting you moving at the keys immediately. Clear communication is the foundation of our work together. By removing unnecessary friction, we ensure your development remains steady. You will reach your artistic goals with precision.
