About Gary
I have worked with over 1500 students in my career and consistently receive positive feedback about our interactions and the growth that I help them achieve. I have taught 7th and 8th grade science, including the gifted program, high school biology, AP biology, chemistry, and forensics, and college in the high school biology. I've also tutored students in AP chemistry and AP physics. I have a very strong science background, I majored in biochemistry then spent 7 years working as a biomedical research scientist before becoming a teacher. I'm good at building rapport with students and efficiently determining a student's current position in learning and what their needs are. From there, I design a series of learning activities to help that student reach their learning goals.
I value direct feedback and clear communication with both students and families.
