About Jascha
My name is Jascha Stern. I grew up in Pacific Northwest studying primarily piano and violin for several years before I got into choral and classical singing as well as folk acoustic guitar. My father is a trained opera singer and virtuosic multi-instrumentalist so music has been a constant in my life. I currently study jazz violin at Bard College in upstate New York and songwrite prolifically in my free time.

My approach involves closely examining a variety of soundscapes, scalic options, lyrical approaches, and listening sessions to personalize each student's sound so as to showcase one's innately distinctive creativity. My lessons place a special emphasis on the ability to translate imagined sounds and melodies into the tangible world.
