About Ashish A Patil (VJTI Mumbai)

I am a Diploma, BTech and an MTech Graduate. I am an alumni of BATU and VJTI. I have taught Engineering drawing to over 5000+ students in my last 15+ years of teaching career. All of them have cleared the paper in first attempt with flying colors.

About the lesson

Hello I am Aashish A Patil, an alumni of VJTI Mumbai. I am located at Mumbai and I teach online and offline. I have students from all over India and abroad.

My students have always scored above 95% marks in their exams. I topped in Engineering Drawing (Engineering Graphics/ Technical Drawing) throughout my Mechanical Engineering exams. I teach everything using a pencil and paper methodology. I make students solve problems in front of me. I use power point animations to help students visualize and learn complex topics easily. I also use 3D Solidwork models for making complex topics easy for students to visualize and grasp difficult topics with ease.

Technical drawing is all about simultaneous thinking and movement of your hands. Imagination has to be improved and visualization of engineering components in your mind is an important factor to understand this subject. It’s not a subject similar to by hearting formulas and theory answers, for this one needs to understand the basics concepts thoroughly. If basics are clear the rest part of the subject is simple. My focus is more on clearing basic concepts and develop confidence among students. Over the period of 15+ years I developed unique techniques to make students understand this subject easily. My students have nicknamed me as DrawingWala

I was finding it difficult to understand this subject even after reading textbooks. Its a subject which is not like by-hearting formulas or memorising answers. If you dont understand the concepts, you might not be able to clear this subject. This was happening with many students from our batch. everyone was confused. ABOUT ME
Aashish A Patil is a Technical Drawing Teacher based in Mumbai, India. Best known for his teaching skills among ICSE and Engineering Diploma and Degree students. He also teaches machine drawing and design softwares. He studied Licentiate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at VJTI and B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering at BATU before attending M-Tech in Machine Design at VJTI.

In addition to his independent activity as a freelance teacher of Technical Drawing, he designs and fabricates unique innovative machines in his workshop. Recently at the national level design competition ‘Innovate India’, his machine got selected for funding by Indian government’s Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He has also got selected by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt of India. for his innovative software project.

Prior to becoming an Entrepreneur he had a stint as a Design Engineer at MSME Mumbai. He also gave outstanding performance as an intern in R&D Department at Castrol Technology Center. He was also a part of team working under the guidance of Padma Vibhushan Dr. Mashelkar, (advisor to PM Office) which aims to spread awareness of IP and Patents among school students.

His innovative entrepreneur projects has been received guidance and funding from Software technology Parks of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, Entrepreneur Cell IIT Mandi, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, etc.
