About Levi
Did you know that starting violin at 7 through the Suzuki method changed how I view musical growth? Listening before reading and imitation before analysis became the pillars of my pedagogy. I earned my BMus Violin and spent 13 years coaching students toward regional and national youth orchestras.
Developing intonation, bowing technique, and left hand agility requires precise focus on tone production. I guide students through grade exam prep like ABRSM and Trinity while refining rhythm, timing, and ear training. Shifting positions and tuning by ear are mandatory for your progress. I transform ambitious players into ensemble ready musicians.

Focusing on the subtle mechanics of bowing, the pacing feels intentional because I want to ensure every nuance of your sound is captured before moving ahead. My approach centers on 9 specific technical benchmarks that act as a roadmap for your growth in the orchestra.
Having spent 13 years refining these methods, I observe how you internalize the material and then provide immediate feedback on your posture or clarity. Since I prepare students for youth symphony auditions, we treat every scale and etude as a performance piece.
You will find that internalizing the rhythm is just as vital as the notes on the page. We dedicate time to ear training to ensure your intonation remains sharp throughout the most complex passages. This systematic training builds the confidence needed to sit in the first violin section of a competitive group.
