About Quinley
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information available for learning guitar? I started my path by immersing myself in the oral traditions of Appalachia before earning a BFA in Music Performance.
These 12 years of experience allow me to simplify complex topics like scales, modes, and barre chords. I have helped 422 students discover how to integrate music theory into their rhythm playing and lead guitar solos. Whether you are an absolute beginner reading tabs or a performer polishing your power chords, I provide the guidance you need.

Learning music is a conversation that relies on deep listening rather than just looking at a screen. I confess that I prefer teaching through the ear even when we are dissecting complex guitar theory or intricate rhythm patterns. Since my training at East Tennessee State University focused on performance, I show you how to move through power chords and lead lines with total confidence. My lessons are designed for intermediate and advanced learners who want to move beyond basic strumming.
You will notice that my 12 years of teaching give me a unique way to explain challenging concepts. It is my hope that you find joy in the process of creating your own songs.
