About Lorelei
If you are an absolute beginner or a kid looking to pick up a guitar, you are in the right place. My BA in Latin American Music means I look at the instrument through the lens of rhythm and song.
I focus on essential skills like blues progressions, acoustic technique, and proper tuning and maintenance. I have spent 10 years gigging across the US, and I bring that stage energy directly to our time together.
We work on ear training and reading sheet music to ensure you have a solid foundation. Whether you want to master fingerpicking or electric technique, I am here to guide your progress. I promise to keep our focus on making music that you actually want to play.

Trying to learn everything at once often leads to frustration. Playing the instrument correctly is actually easier when you stop worrying about theory and start feeling the groove. We move quickly through blues progressions and improvisation to keep your interest high. I push for constant movement in our sessions.
We cover everything from soloing to basic fingerpicking. You will learn to handle your guitar properly and keep it in tune.
My 10 years of experience as a working musician help me explain complex concepts with simple language. Beginners often find that the technical parts become intuitive once they understand the rhythm. I keep the pace fast and the feedback honest. We work on your ear training until you can hear the notes before you play them.
