About Kim
Good day and thank you for your interest in my tutoring profile.
Teaching elementary students is my passion. Having taught elementary school for over 20 years in the classroom, I am excited to now be tutoring students online. Working one-on-one or in small groups is the most effective way in which students can acquire the individual help that they need. In this non-stressful environment students feel comfortable to ask questions and take the time that they need to master their skills. I work with students on foundational skills that have created a gap in their learning as well as students who excel academically and everything in between!
I earned my elementary teaching credential at California State University and have a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Psychology. I am an ESE (Exceptional Student Education) specialist and have mentored many teachers during my career. I am proficient in many elementary curriculums and am an avid believer in Core Knowledge which includes students acquiring strong foundational skills. I am passionate about encouraging students to learn based on their learning style as well as elevating their confidence, and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
