About Wren
"Teaching piano became the natural next step after 7 years of gigging and recording on the Nashville and LA circuits. Most players assume that theory is separate from the instrument, but it is actually the engine of everything you play. I work with absolute beginners, teens, working professionals, and advanced learners who want to bridge that gap.
My approach relies on the jazz harmony and modal thinking I developed during my 12 years on the road. You will gain independence, rhythmic stability, and a stronger grasp of contemporary styles.
Sight transposition and sight playing are often seen as chores, yet they serve as the foundation for true musical freedom. Hand independence is not just a goal, it is a daily practice. I focus on these mechanical elements to build your confidence. Let us start building the skills you need to reach your specific goals."
