About Allison
Verb conjugation comes alive when you understand the history behind the words. Cultural context clarifies whether you prefer Latin American or Castilian variants while you refine your pronunciation. Conversational fluency serves as our goal throughout this journey.
I hold an MA Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Chicago and have spent 11 years teaching in Nashville. My 203 students have succeeded in AP Spanish and DELE exams through a system built for adults. You will find that grammar arrives naturally as a helpful tool rather than a hurdle.

Fluency feels accessible because we focus on real speech patterns from the very beginning. Maybe you feel nervous about speaking, but that disappears once we start chatting about daily life.
The 8.0 rating I maintain reflects my dedication to your comfort during our 60 minute sessions. A free trial lesson allows us to assess your current level before we map out a plan. You will practice listening and responding in a relaxed environment. Grammar rules appear only when you hit a roadblock.
We prioritize the flow of ideas instead of rigid drills. I make sure you leave the session feeling capable and encouraged. Connecting with a new language should feel like an exciting discovery.
