About Joshua

Ms. Parker and I are full-time teachers who love what we do—but one-on-one tutoring is where we see the biggest growth. Our goal is simple: build confidence, close learning gaps, and help students succeed independently. Most of our students stay with us for an entire school year, not because they have to, but because it works. Tutoring isn’t meant to be forever—we’re here until your student no longer needs us. Whether that’s a few months or a few years, we offer personalized sessions and monthly discounts to support your journey.

About the lesson

Whether the student needs assistance with homework, test prep, or understanding a specific concept related to Math or Reading/Writing, we target the underlying idea to help students become better learners themselves. Our hour-long lessons are used to briefly help bridge any missing conceptual gaps, and then see the student take off on their own so they feel self-confident in their ability.

Perfect! I’m glad I started tutoring for my daughter with Mr Renken, he’s very patient and effective with young kids. He has the ability to create a positive learning environment.

Perfect! We have had a great experience with Josh so far. He really connects with my son, keeps him on track when his mind wanders, and really boosts his confidence. My son's mood is different at school and I know it's due to the confidence he's getting with the extra practice with Josh.
