About Heather
"I keep my violin studio simple and direct. My training at the New England Conservatory was piano-primary, but I spent years refining my violin and voice skills.
These 13 years of experience taught me that theory transfers easily across instruments. I use a Suzuki-informed style to help students master spiccato bowing and intonation.
Whether you are a working professional or a teen, we focus on tuning by ear before looking at pages of music. I provide free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your form consistent. Does this methodical approach sound like the right fit for your musical goals?"

"Technique is often a mystery. I admit that keeping your bow straight takes practice. We refine your orchestral playing through careful attention to staccato and spiccato motions. Ear training remains our primary tool for developing strong intonation.
I provide free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to ensure you have a clear guide. Returning learners find this clarity helpful for correcting old habits. You will gain the skills to play with accuracy and confidence."
