About Nicole
Performance-focused students often find me when they seek a different path. I have 13 years of teaching experience under my belt. My degree from the Old Town School of Folk Music grounds everything I do.
Learning happens through listening and imitation. I emphasize the oral tradition for everyone from beginners to seasoned classical players. My classroom is a space for SHARPENING YOUR EAR.
You will find my approach is quite simple. I love working with adults and teens who want to get back to the basics of melody.

Strong technique comes from a solid connection to the instrument. Posture and hold are the starting points for every student. We use weekly practice modules to keep your progress moving forward.
Theory and ear training fill the time we spend together. Sight reading becomes a tool rather than a chore when you know the rhythm. You will leave feeling more capable of tackling any piece of music.
