About Ollie
Greetings!
My name is Ollie Stratton, I plan on studying mathematics/physics and going into education. I am very passionate about teaching and making a difference in kid's lives. I am currently a teaching assistant at GCH in Summerfield and I work for Kumon as a tutor.
I was a tutor all throughout high school and I have worked with kids in academic and non-academic environments since I was 16, and I very much enjoy it.
I had a rough adolescence, and some teachers saved my life when I was in a time of need. Too often the education system fails our youth by giving them merit based on grades alone. And while grades are important, we have to remain empathetic to those who have trouble learning because of internal or external conflict teachers aren't made aware of. A child can't learn properly if they're not in a happy and healthy headspace.
I will push and challenge you child, but I will do so with empathy.

I specialize in middle school math and lower (with a focus on algebra).
My goal is to teach your child mathematical concepts in a way that is tailored to their needs. My intention is to have them not only become better problem-solvers, but better learners.
I start my lessons by asking if the student has any current school work or any units of math they find too challenging. I then ask as many questions as I can to target the root of the confusion and tackle it together.
