About Heath
Teaching provides a rare chance to demystify complex vocal mechanics after 7 years performing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Honestly, I find the process of refining a singer's sound far more rewarding than my own stage work. I have coached many individuals on diction and articulation, tone and resonance, and sight singing.
Helping students master microphone technique and warm up exercises keeps me grounded. I truly enjoy seeing someone gain performance confidence and sharpen their rhythm and phrasing. It is a genuine pleasure to help singers balance head and chest voice, belting technique, and vibrato control.

Throat tension often feels like a tight knot that stops a clear sound from emerging. You will find that these 9 sessions prioritise a diagnostic vocal assessment for every new student.
I bring my BMus Vocal Performance background into every minute to ensure we address your specific vocal needs. We focus on breathing, pitch accuracy, and vowel consistency throughout our time together. I carefully monitor how your body responds to different technical challenges to prevent fatigue. These 9 sessions cover the fundamental pillars of healthy singing using proven classical methods.
I find that building a strong foundation makes the complex repertoire much easier to handle. Working with you to find your natural resonance is my primary goal. It is satisfying to hear a voice transform from restricted to open and free.
