About Carl
Growing up with the gospel and blues tradition taught me that music is primarily a conversation. Quiet perfection is usually the enemy of a truly moving vocal performance.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Industry from Belmont University. My 13 years of experience as a gigging singer have refined how I teach.
I guide teens and adults through the technical demands of their favorite songs. Performance-focused students appreciate my direct and honest feedback. It is rewarding to watch a singer find their own authentic sound. Singing should be as natural as talking.

Most singers struggle with finding their true volume. Breath is the foundation of every note. I focus on stage fear management and sight singing for my students. We work on genre styling and belting technique to build your confidence.
Diction and articulation are vital for clear communication. I also emphasize rhythm and phrasing to keep your music tight. My 13 years of background helps me keep the pressure low and the spirits high.
